Arts on the Edge Wolfeboro is a summer festival whose mission is to celebrate the spiritual value of artistic creativity as such. Founded by First Congregational Church Wolfeboro (FCCW), a member of the United Church of Christ, the festival brings to central New Hampshire’s Lakes Region the work of renowned local and international artists in in an exciting multi-disciplinary art series with an emphasis on innovation. Further events include informal talks with the artists and leading scholars in the fields of art and theology.
FCCW, one of the town’s larger congregations, has historically been committed to exploring the inspirational power of music in both the congregation and the wider community. In 2007, the church called Toby Twining, a nationally known composer and musician, to be its Minister of Music, and committed itself to expanding and deepening its arts program. Arts on the Edge Wolfeboro is part of the church’s evolving commitment. |
