Arts on the Edge Wolfeboro is a new summer festival whose mission is to celebrate innovative artistic creativity as an expression of human spirituality. The festival will bring to central New Hampshire’s Lakes Region the work of renowned local and international artists in an exciting series of music concerts, dance performances, a visual art exhibit, and workshops. Further events include informal talks with the artists and leading scholars in the fields of art and theology. Arts on the Edge Wolfeboro is a project of First Congregational Church, Wolfeboro (FCCW), a member of the progressive United Church of Christ.
FCCW, one of the town’s larger congregations, has historically been committed to exploring the inspirational power of music in both the congregation and the wider community. In 2007, the church called Toby Twining, a nationally known composer and musician, to be its Minister of Music, and committed itself to expanding and deepening its arts program. Arts on the Edge Wolfeboro is part of the church’s evolving commitment.
